I was having a friendly phone conversation with my friend the other day and we talked about how network marketing was a great business model to move product. My friend felt she could create a better opportunity than what’s already out there so the discussion took a turn on how to create a network marketing opportunity. Which got me thinking.

Why is it that you want to create your own network marketing opportunity? I mean it can’t just be because you’re on top of the “pyramid” so to speak, it has to be a real sincere passionate answer that you’ll be willing to dedicate your life to.

This will be a full time endeavour, day in, night out, all the time, your mind will be consumed by questions about “what if”, “how can I improve”, etc. If you just want to have the lifestyle of financial and time freedom, this is definitely not the way to go because only you are in charge of your own vision.

It’s great to dream big and have huge aspirations but we also have to put the grand scheme of things in perspective. Everything is achievable with a detailed step action plan but you’ve got to follow specific steps and milestones in order to get there. If you plan on creating your own network marketing opportunity, you should at least be successful in another one first. This way you’ll know all about prospecting and recruiting.

You should at least be having your dream lifestyle and be financially free to do whatever you want when you want. The reason you want have success in a previous company is because success in the field will help you steer the direction of your new opportunity in the right way. Plus you will have to become a great leader to achieve success and through your acquired leadership experience you’ll be able to motivate and inspire lots of people.

Experience is something you cannot learn by educating yourself through books. Experience is a collection of events you lived and felt for yourself based on your actions and previous decisions. In my opinion jumping or going from being an employee straight to a founder of a new network marketing opportunity without experience is a plan to fail. You’ll accumulate huge debt to pursue an idea that won’t pay off because the foundation wasn’t set up properly or at all.

How To Create A Network Marketing Opportunity

Okay, now, let’s say you do have all that. You are super successful in one company. You are financially free. You have an audience of like thousands of people that you can influence to take action on whatever you say. You are a great leader. You are now consumed with a new life purpose and made a commitment to yourself to inspire tons of people based on your idea.

You have your product figured out now distribution is what’s left. You’re next step is to partner up with a network marketing software provider company. Here’s great article titled: “MLM Software Providers: How To Choose One – Eight Killer Questions You Must Ask Before Taking Your First Step” by Michael L. Sheffield. Here are great other articles that you should read about MLM Software and Computer Systems. Sure the look and feel of the page is a little old school but the information was provided by lawyers or industry experts.

Any company can sell a commission tracking software but do they really live up to all the hype after their sales pitch? Speak to experts first and figure out what would be best for you. Once you’ve got all that figured out, then you’ll be ready to launch your new network marketing opportunity.

Credibility Will Boost Your Sales

CredibilityCredibility can be a huge determining factor if you’re trying to sale anything. To gain credibility, focus on giving value, everybody knows something about specific topics so don’t be shy and over deliver.

By giving value and contributing into the vast knowledge pool of the internet, you will be viewed as trustworthy, credible and you will slowly build your reputation.

There are lots of various ways you can contribute value by sharing your life experience. You can educate people through “how to” guides, you can evaluate other people’s work and offer reviews and feedback.

What about entertaining your audience via art, music, comedy, acting, skits, storytelling or any other form of entertainment that you can come up with? Overtime, people looking for that kind of information will stumble on your work and the more see or read your information, the greater credibility you will gain in their eyes.

Whatever method you chose, you’ve got to be consistent. Give yourself a challenge to offer 100 days worth of value and don’t do it for the money. Just commit to yourself that you want to give 100 days of pure value. Just giving out 100 days of value, separates you from the crowd.

A lot of people just do things for money and that’s the wrong mindset to have. In order to be viewed as credible, people have got to like, follow your journey, they’ve got to be influence and inspired by you. Over time you’ll start building a circle of influence and you’re going to be the leader.

This is literally what I’ve done myself. I gave myself a personal goal to give 100 pieces of pure valuable content. The way I do it, is that I do my count from Monday to Friday, like a normal work week, so that’s 5 days per week for a total of 20 weeks. When you break it down like that, it’s not that scary anymore. Treat it as a job where you go in, you give your best, then you’re done the day.

This is my 75th article and here’s what I’ve noticed so far. Because I’m set to give awesome value, people are starting to naturally be attracted to me and asking me questions. You know you’ve gain credibility when people come to you for your skills. So I help them and in return get great testimonials.

The most important difference is that I’m starting to see my habit change, I’ve got small deadlines and have got to publish one article per day so I changed my priorities to make it happen.

It’s not always pretty roses, sometimes I struggle on what topic I want to cover. So I just start writing stuff, anything, after typing about 150 words or so, they I get onto a topic and then auto-pilot kicks in. I find to go from 150 words to 1200 words is a lot easier than coming up with the first 150.

Credibility, Trust, Honor, Reputation

All that said, my overall feeling, is that I get a sense of accomplishment, I feel like I’m contributing something that people care to know about. I’ve had this skill set for a long time but never put it out there as conversation starter.

I realize that the more I help out and contribute in the vast pool of knowledge, the more it makes me feel better. Without realizing it, my efforts have been gaining me some credibility, trust, honor and a positive reputation amongst the people I help.

It’s funny, after I’ve started to make my own objectives of 100 days; I found out that a group of network marketers from my mastermind group created a step by step roadmap actually teaching network marketers how to get 50 leads per day.

You see setting yourself a goal of 100 days of contributing value is one thing but if you have no prior business or marketing experience, how do you figure out the technology behind your goal? Where should you start first? How to get your content in front of any audience? How to market? Because no one’s supervising you, how do you overcome procrastination? How do you go around your own excuses?

I mean the list goes on and on and what I really liked about their 100 days free video is that they go into details of what to expect. After all, their specialty is to teach just that and until I’m done my own personal challenge, it’s best if you hear from the finest in that regards.

Never Buy Website Traffic For Your MLM Website Until You Read This!

Buy Website TrafficIt’s imperative that you don’t buy website traffic until you read through this! Yes, it’s that important.

If you’re anything like I was back then, this is probably where you are. You’ve just recently joined an mlm or network marketing opportunity, they give you give you access to a website that you can customize, enter your name, upload a picture and put your contact information.

The rest of the website is all done by the rest of the team and it’s a super fancy awesome looking website promoting you.

After signing up, you’re super excited about the MLM opportunity, you can taste your dreams become reality. All you’ve got to do is enroll your friends and family, then the money’s going to start pouring in overtime.

After all, if you recruit 2, that recruits 2, that recruits 2, down at the 7th level you’ll have 254 reps each sending you $30 in commissions from recurring sales month after month for a monthly total of $7,620 for years to come.

Maybe you’re a little shy or don’t have too much business background but you know that now you have a super awesome website and all you’ve got to do is send traffic to that website and the sales will come in. I know, I was kind of like that back in 2000.

A lot of us hear about how easy it is to just have everything done on autopilot without lifting a finger. The hard reality is that it’s not true at the beginning. You first have got to build a strong foundation in your business before you get to that level. If you can’t recruit someone in your business, you’re website will not either.

There’s no point to buy website traffic if your website doesn’t convert visitors into purchasers. If your website is just an “online brochure” so to speak, with no call to action, you’re just going to waste your hard earn money or even worse, you’ll stack it up on top of your current debt, might as well go to the casino your odds will probably be better.

If you want to buy website traffic you must first understand how internet marketing works and that is to build “YOU” brand. That’s right, you’ve got to brand yourself online before you promote your company. People will not join companies, they will join people. You’ve got to become a leader and inspire or help people. Without giving value you’re not going to be rewarded in return. That’s just how it is.

At first (back in 2000) I thought my company site was giving value, but it’s not, sure it’s great at giving information and all but why would your lead, prospect, or paid website visitor join you when they can join any other reps from that mlm company?

Why should they follow you? What is it that you offer that’s different from all the other reps out there? In marketing we call that your “Unique Selling Proposition”.

Let me ask you, if you had to join under your company under yourself, would you do it? Or would you join under one of your super awesome upline? If you chose them over you, why is that? Could it be that they offer something pretty amazing, whether personally, charisma, leadership, etc?

To buy website traffic without branding yourself will only be a money pit if you don’t know what you’re doing. I hear it all the time when I ask this simple question: “What’s your marketing strategy to get more mlm leads once you’ve exhausted your friends and family’s list?”

They tell me they want to buy website traffic, either through Facebook Ads or through Pay Per Clicks. I’m dead serious, if you’ve never done that before, how can you expect a positive return on your investment? There’s nothing worse than to watch the advertising spending accumulate, yet having no conversions (no body buying your stuff).

Can buying website traffic increase your business? Yes, of course it can, but like I always say, it’s got to be done the right way. If you’re serious about getting into paid traffic, then I recommend you watch Michelle’s free Facebook training.

Leads Online Are The Best To Work With!

Leads OnlineGenerating leads online is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to grow your business. Let’s face it in order to grow your business, you must talk to people or get a whole lot of people’s eye balls on your offer.

Side Note! With digital advertising, it is important to create landing pages that your leads can see. A landing page targeted to match the advertisement driving the traffic, will show better results than being driven to the business site.

With digital advertising, you can track and measure which ad works best or not. It is also important to create landing pages that matches the topic your leads online are searching for.

Try not to send your prospects to a general website as your prospects may not know your site navigation and it may lead to confusion. If they click on your ad for something, give them the exact information that they’re looked for.

Depending on your business, you can also provide your leads online easy access to your contact information so they can be the ones initiating contact.

Use testimonials, past customer reviews and case studies to your advantage by displaying them on your site. If you’re starting out a new network marketing business and you don’t have any reviews yet, borrow someone else reviews. Nothing stops you from saying something like: “This is how so and so helped them achieve their health goals, fitness goals, financial goals or whatever.”

The more transparent you are, the more leads online will be able to relate and trust you. Don’t use ads that are over the top full of hype or sound unrealistic, be factual and honest about the value and benefits of your offers. When you are seen as credible and trustworthy, you will be able to generate more leads online this way.

Side Note! Getting leads online that are real will happen more often when people know they can trust you. Don’t use ads that have too much hype or appear unrealistic.

Leads Online Continued

Leads online are very valuable but some leads online simply won’t buy from you no matter what and that’s ok. It’s part of business. Make sure you qualify the leads online and turn them into qualified prospects that meet your criteria or you’ll be wasting time and energy. Choosing and dealing with the right leads online will dramatically improve your success.

Always make sure that the leads online you have are original. The more advertising techniques you use, the easier it is to have one lead slip through the cracks and become a duplicate. So just make sure that you don’t contact the same person twice, especially if they already bought your service or product or said “no” to your offer.

Set up a system where you can get fresh daily leads online so you can work your business. Remember, leads online are like the blood flow of your business. It’s wise that you make yourself a leads online budget and that you invest some time and money in this area otherwise your business may suffer from the lack of leads online.

Stay on top of your game with plenty of leads online to contact and you will see profit, growth, new recruits, more reps, more sales, etc..

Direct Sales Companies Are The Business Of The Future

Direct Sales CompaniesDirect sales companies can be separated into two classes:

The first type of direct sales companies are single-level marketing which means that sales representative, the host, the rep or whatever you’re going to call it deals directly with the clients. Their income is in direct proportion of the amount of product they personally sell.

Some direct sales companies you might have heard of, that falls under this type of marketing category are: the cosmetics of Avon, kitchen supplies from Tupperware, Pampered Chef, etc. Usually commission rates are a little higher than their multi-level marketing counterpart.

This leads me to my second point. The second type of direct sales companies are multi-level marketing. Multi-level marketing companies are the ones that can be easily mistaken for “those pyramid schemes” and sometimes can suffer from the negative stigma. Their “per sale’s” commissions are generally lower from their single-level marketing counterpart.

That being said, it is structured in a way that you can make an override commission on the sales of the other sales representatives on your team, which is pretty good. Some legitimate direct sales companies that you might have heard of, that falls under this type of marketing category are: the vitamins and nutritional from USANA, the world’s largest telecommunications company ACN and there’s a whole lot more.

Now which one of the categories are the best? Well it depends of what type of person you are. If you are a hustler and hate teaching your skills to others that you might view as your competition, then single-level marketing is probably best for you. You’ll get a 100% of your own efforts, larger commissions from each sales and it’s the fastest way to get into profits. The draw back from this type of sales is that if you fall sick or for whatever reason you can’t perform, you can’t do any sales, then you get nothing coming, no more revenue.

If you’re looking at this in the long term, then multi-level marketing offers you a way to leverage your time and effort. Not only you have to sell the products or services, but you also build a team of other representative, you train them and show them how to become successful sales people. This is a little bit more work at first, and a little bit more time before you turn your time investment into profits.

The beauty of this multi-level marketing model is; say you have 100 sales representatives in your organization, you’d get 1% of 100 people’s sales effort. Obviously this is over simplified but it makes it easy to understand the concept which means that if you do fall sick or you can’t work, you’d still get 1% of 99 people’s sales effort.

Find Legitimate Direct Sales Companies

Legitimate direct sales companies are governed by the Direct Selling Association’s (DSA) where they adhere to their code of ethics:

The DSA Code of Ethics speaks to both the consumer and the seller. It ensures that member companies will make no statements or promises that might mislead either consumers or prospective sales people. Pyramid schemes are illegal and companies operating pyramids are not permitted to be members of the DSA.

The DSA Code of Ethics is enforced by an independent code administrator who is not connected with any member company. The code administrator will do everything possible to resolve any complaints to the satisfaction of everyone involved, and has the power to decide on remedies. All member companies have agreed to honor the administrator’s decisions.”

Generating Content Ideas For Your Website

Generating ContentGenerating content on a daily basis, especially when you’re starting out can be challenging. At first, you don’t really have interaction with your newly created community because, well, it doesn’t exist yet.

So you have to do a “brain” dump of all the valuable information that you know that could be useful for others. Keep in mind that the information you know and seem to take for granted is worth gold in the eyes of someone who doesn’t share your experience.

Every successful business person I know can agree to that. It starts small but with a dedicated routine and following your plan of action you can create significant results. We’ve all been there (yes, me included). As you put your ideas on paper or in a brainstorming application, these will be the seeds of your next content ideas.

Overtime you’ll notice people will start asking you questions or ask you to elaborate on a specific topic and when you get to that point, it’s like a snow ball that turns into an avalanche. You’ll have more questions or discussion that comes in faster than you can post the content out. As your leadership skills grow, you’ll know that you have a strong community when your audience are participating and interacting with you and others.

You will be viewed as a leader and person of influence and when you get to that point, people will follow you to the top of your network marketing opportunity.

Well before you get to that point, you’ve got to build value by generating content but sometimes you’ll get writer’s block, meaning you’re just not sure what to talk about. Generating content for any types of blog requires additional research or triggers some ideas in your mind to talk about a specific subject.

Generating Content For the Right People

People often ask me: “How can you be generating content on a daily basis? Where do you find stuff to talk about?”

Before you just jump into the wild internet west generating content blindly, you’ve got to really know who your audience is and who you’re addressing your messages to. I know for me, it’s anyone wanting to grow a network marketing business using the leverage of the internet. Luckily for me, regardless of any network marketing opportunities out there, I found a mastermind group of successful internet network marketers that are all top performers in their own respective companies.

They love the internet so much that they all share their own successful methods with each other and guests, which are great at generating content ideas. The best part is they do it in a training format in Google Hangout, live every Wednesday night at 9pm Eastern Time.

All these marketers are 6 and 7 income earners and because of the Google Hangout technology, it allows guests and anyone listening in to participate and ask questions. Again, generating content excuses should no longer exist after attending these trainings.

They cover topics like lead generation, search engine optimization, Facebook marketing, Youtube marketing and tons more. They show their screen as they do every steps of the way and the best part is that it’s 100% free.

After attending training sessions like that, my mind gets fully refreshed with new creative ideas and fueled by passion and motivation, generating content is no longer an issue. I just start writing like there’s no tomorrow.

Posture And Positioning Can Increase Your Sales

Posture and PositioningQuite often posture and positioning is a subject that is overlooked, especially at the beginning of a new career. It will come naturally over time as you become more and more knowledgeable the more experienced you get. So what is posture and positioning exactly? Well posture and positioning is like a category or a theme that overlooks aspects of negotiations or selling process.

The term is similar from the health side where having the correct body postures, the right sitting and standing positions can have health benefits over time. The same is true when applied to sales, negotiating, presentation, recruiting, etc. Basically anything that involves communicating with somebody else through body language, words or intonations.

We can split the word combination of posture and positioning and focus on just one of them at a time. So for now, let’s focus on posture (the psychology). According to Wikipedia: “posture can provide a significant amount of important information on nonverbal communication and emotional cues.” It also says: “many studies have shown that certain patterns of body movements are indicative of specific emotions.”

So knowing that, when applied to sales, you can purposefully telegraph non verbal cues to your prospect on a subconscious level to make them feel specific emotions to build rapport and connection. Essentially, psychological posture and body language play well together. Think of it this way; a confidant person will say something with certainty, while a depressed person will say the same thing but in a completely different non influential way.

The amount of energy used when talking can be felt by everybody hearing you and this can determine whether someone wants to do business with you or not.

Now let’s look at positioning. According to Wikipedia positioning in marketing:  “relates to strategy, in the specific or tactical development phases of carrying out an objective to achieve a business’ or organization’s goals, such as increasing sales volume, brand recognition, or reach in advertising.” In other words, positioning is engineering social circumstances and situations in your favor to reach your goals. In the case of business, it’s more sales and in the case of network marketing, it’s more sales and more recruits.

You can unconsciously become so good at your business that overtime you’ll be known as the “Go To” person when there’s a need for your skill set. So if you’re just starting out in business, you don’t have all that experience behind you for you to become that “Go To” person. Instead, with the power of the internet and knowledge, you can consciously orchestrate the whole process and accelerate the growth of your perceived value in the market place and have people begging for you to help them.

I mean, how cool is that! Instead of you running and chasing people around to grow your business, you have them come to you. It’s a lot smarter and easier to deal with a qualified prospect than just anybody random.

Posture And Positioning Conclusion

Prospecting for MLM leads followed by posture and positioning, combined together, becomes a lethal weapon for your business growth. When you talk with authority with confidant body language people will listen to what you have to say because in their eyes you will be the expert they found on the internet and just that alone is social proof.

A Qualified Prospect Will Thank You For Watching Your Biz Opp

Qualified ProspectOk, by now if you’ve been reading my stuff or watching my videos you’ve probably heard me talk about targeting your business promotion to a qualified prospect. But what is a qualified prospect? A qualified prospect is a segment of an audience that falls under your search criteria that would be your perfect ideal client. In other words they are your: target market, target audience, qualified lead, perfect lead, etc. You get the point.

In business, this knowledge separates you from being a professional marketer with an amateur marketer. Allow me to explain. Let’s take me when I was a realtor for example. I didn’t want to market my services to everybody, that would have cost me tons of money and I wouldn’t have got good leads. I didn’t want to force somebody or use pressure sales technique for someone to want to sell their house. That would have led to bad customer service, feelings of guilt on the seller’s side, no referrals and a bad word of mouth reputation.

Instead, a good way to get qualified leads for free is to volunteer your time to hold open houses for other realtors. When people come in the house to visit the open house, obviously they are looking for something. Just the fact that they’ve got there on their own time says a lot. They didn’t need convincing, they are looking and are on the hunt and because they are looking, one can conclude that they more than likely will sell their other house. Now that is what I call a perfect qualified prospect through an awesome lead generation technique.

Another method to find qualified prospects is to hold a free real estate seminar on “how to buy your first home”. Obviously this would be for the realtor who’s targeting first time home buyers. The fact that the realtor would give his time educating people does many things. For one, by giving value, it attracts lots of people, not any kind of people but “qualified” people who are in the market. Second, by having lots of people at one event, the realtor is creating social proof and showing himself as a leader, an expert or an authority in the market. People will want to do business with him because they will feel like they know him.

When it comes to the warm market (friends and family), the realtor may send a letter to all his friend and family letting them know that he’s changed his career that he’s now a realtor. He lets them know or offers tips and tricks about the market but never puts pressure to sell their houses. As a business owner the realtor simply can’t mix emotions with business in that context. Some of the realtor’s friends and family will even hire other realtors and it’s nothing personal, doesn’t mean they don’t like him, they have their own reasons and it’s nothing personal.

Only A Qualified Prospect Should See Your Presentation

Now looking at MLM recruiting, you need to have a qualified prospect to see your presentation. What are the best traits your qualified prospect should have? A pulse doesn’t count!  lol. You need to be a little bit more specific than that. Example: For me a qualified prospect is someone who:

  1. Is sick and tired of the status quo.
  2. Doesn’t like their job for the life of them.
  3. Doesn’t want to be bound to one geographic location and wants to work from anywhere in the world.
  4. Knows there’s a better life waiting for them out there.
  5. Knows they’ve got to work hard and put lots of time in but they’re just not quite sure where to start.
  6. Knows that giving the right circumstances, the right teaching, the right mentor, the right direction, the right opportunity, they can completely change their life.
  7. They make no excuses and blame no one for their past, present or future successes or failures.
  8. They assume full responsibility for their actions.
  9. They want to learn how to give value and get paid at the same time.
  10. They know that they will have to spend money in education and advertising to promote themselves
  11. They know why they want change their lifestyle and embark on a new journey.
  12. They have a burning desire to become a better person and influence the life of others for the best.

Now do all your friends and family have all that? More than likely they don’t. I know mine don’t. All that to say that it’s important to let them know what you’re doing when having casual conversations and asked: “What’s new with you?” or “What have you been up to these days?” by answering something like: “Oh I teach people how to work from home. What about you?” And leave it as that. If they want more information, they’ll come back on that nugget of information and then you can direct them to your website. If they don’t ask more information about it, it means, they are happy with where they are in life, they have no burning desire to change which means they are not a qualified prospect.

Remember, never pitch your opportunity to a non-qualified prospect. If they don’t give you hints of burning desire for a change, they won’t even bather coming to see or watch your presentation and trying to convince them won’t help your cause. It’s nothing personal, it’s just part of doing business the smart way. A qualified prospect will thank you when you’re offering your business solutions to them and they will appreciate your professionalism. So don’t spam your friends and family!

MLM Recruiting The Wrong Way Will Kill Your Social Status Part 3 of 3

MLM Recruiting Part 3Yesterday we’ve seen how you, as a prospect in our story line, were exposed to a wrong approached by your niece which brought up many questions. You’ve answered her and now she followed with her script again and proceeded to handling your objections. Well that’s what she thinks she’s doing but in reality, there’s a lot more that’s going on. Let’s have a look.

MLM Recruiting Part 3 – More Red Flags

Your niece has been so blinded by the dollar sign and the promises of the opportunity that she doesn’t even ask you about your website. Instead she uses one of the cheesy old school objection handling methods that she’s just learned and flatters your ego by saying stuff like: “Wow, you’re totally knowledgeable, you’re sharp, smart and I totally need your opinion, can you make it Monday instead or perhaps Tuesday?”

Here are the flaws and the danger of burning bridges and what’s killing her social status:

First, she brushes off your response by not acknowledging it and jumps straight in flattering your ego. It’s usually done by compliments or praising of your other successes. Which makes you ask: “Did she even read my offer to help? It sounds like she just jumped on part 2 of objection handling in her script without even following the flow of the conversation.”

She didn’t listen to the logical scenario which clearly demonstrates that she has a lack of understanding in business, customer service and sales. Yet after offering help by essentially saying: “You need more education to grow your business“. She disregarded your offer to help without acknowledging it which leads to the question: “Is she just going off a script and not even listening to my suggestions?”

You know that she is tenacious because she’s trying to regain control of the conversation by re-inviting you by offering you alternative times, even after telling her you’re super busy which is a polite way to say no thank you. This time asking if you can come to tonight’s presentation or tomorrow night’s which leads to this questions: “If she can change her schedule just like that, so fast and all of the sudden become available tonight for me, is she not busy?

Is she not in demand? If she’s not in demand, why is that? Is it that bad, that people don’t even want to spend the time to hear about it? She still hasn’t told me anything about it. It still looks sketchy to me therefore based on my previous experiences in the industry and knowing what’s going on, I still don’t have time and even if I did, it’s not worth it. I’ve got better things to do.”

So you call her out again politely saying:

“I agree that network marketing is one of the best wealth vehicle out there and thank you for thinking of me. I know you’re prospecting but I’m not a qualified prospect for you right now. That being said, it’s got to be done right. That if you use those approaches and techniques and persists too much you risk to burn bridges with the relationships of your friends and family and give a bad reputation to the network marketing industry. When you’re MLM recruiting, it’s one thing to ask the right qualifying questions once but to never insist. Right away asking for personal favors puts you in a position of “desperation” which is bad business wise.

Do you see a doctor run to all his friends and family “begging” them to become his clients? Do you see the restaurant owner running to all his friends and family and depend on them? They offer their business solutions to them but they don’t insist or depend on their business.

The method you’re using right now is like fighting an up-hill battle. You should be using qualifying questions to see if there’s even a need to gain financial independence, lose weight, save money or whatever it is the solution you’re offering. It’s got to come from the right posture and right attitude. You should be addressing the “red flags” questions in your potential prospect’s mind in first message before they even think about them.

Mixing business and relationships is delicate and if you do it wrong it can really hurt your relationships in the long run. Again if you want more network marketing training, I highly recommend you take a closer look at my tutorial videos. It’s a hard reality check but I rather give you a heads up before you run in blindly and go through all the same mistakes I’ve gone through over 10 years ago.

Not everybody will understand where you’re coming from and what you’re trying to achieve, but I do. Good luck.”

She finally gets the message, stops the annoying pressure and backs away thanking you. She still doesn’t asks for your website so you know that she’ll just keep hounding other people using the same approach.

MLM Recruiting Conclusion

In conclusion, in theory and for illustration purposes many network marketing companies demonstrate the compensation plan saying if you just recruit 2, which recruits 2, which recruits 2 at the 7th level you’ll have X number of reps in your organization.

This works well on paper. In reality, life is not fair, not everybody will join your opportunity, in fact, in practice, it’s a lot more difficult than that. You’ll see that you’ll have to personally recruit at least 100 people in order to get 5 super stars that will actually do what you’re doing, which is to recruit a 100 over their lifetime. If you think recruiting 2 is too difficult, than you’re either doing it all wrong or you’re in the wrong business and this model is not meant for you.

People come and go, you’ll have people come in through hype but when they realise the amount of actual work they’ve got to put into it they’ll quit. This is called the attrition. Your goal is to have more people coming in than leaves. You’ve got to balance your energy and effort by recruiting and training. Motivating your team is good but it shouldn’t be your priority, if someone is not motivated to work, don’t waste your time on them. Focus on recruiting, recruiting and recruiting more.

People will follow leaders who lead by example, who gives and provides value. If you offer no value and expect to be successful doing pressure sales, you’re not going to go far. If you’re a super recruiter but using methods that are not duplicatable you’re team will not grow and you will not taste the true leverage of residual passive income.

MLM is a like a sort of mini franchise, you’ve got to work hard, smart and be consistent at it. It’s a professional business and you’ve got to treat as such. One of the biggest reasons I believe it’s so good is that it offers a way for people with a limited budget to have their own business for themselves but not by themselves with unlimited income potential.

Not everybody will join your MLM business and that’s ok. If other people have their own MLM business they are trying to grow, respect their choice and don’t fall into the: “my MLM is better than yours” childish name bashing. This looks unprofessional for the entire industry. Not everyone’s the right fit for your opportunity but the beauty is, we live in world of abundance and there’s always somebody else looking for your solution. You just got to put yourself in a position where they can find you.

From the recruiting process to the close of the sales, it’s a series of steps that has to be followed to a “T”. Think of it as a phone number.  There are 10 digits, if you miss one, you got the wrong number. The same applies in this business. If you miss one step, whether asking the right qualifying questions, coming in with the wrong attitude, you’ll get the wrong response you’re looking for.

When you work as a network marketer essentially you’re a sales rep, you’ve got to sell people on watching your presentations or coming to meetings and know how to close the sales. Some people need more network marketing training than others and that’s normal. As a former real estate realtor and life insurance sales professional I can tell you from a fact that every skill can be learned and you can achieve excellence through training, practice, repetition and course correction. But you’ve got to work with what works best for you as a person as well, there are many different approaches.

I’m sharing this because it’s based on a true story. I’ve altered it a little bit to keep privacy but essentially I go through that all the time. I get approached constantly and now I simply call them out on it to save my time and teach them a better way. I was asked for years to put something together. I was reluctant about it but finally gave in hence why I created this website. I was reluctant at first because I was and still am busy, focusing and working on my professional stunt career.
