Meetcheep.com by Joel Therien is probably one of the most affordable professional solution if you’re just a small business and don’t need more than 500 attendees per session, it offers you the capability to do hybrid webinars, doodle on the screen, record the presentation.

EverGreenBusinessSystem.com is super powerful platform that fully automates your webinar and making them look real, it’s sends the live questions to your e-mail so you can answer them in real time. It’s kind of a grey area in ethical marketing but it’s another solution that exists that was created by Mike Filsaime.

The following Webinar solutions use the Google Hangout On Air Technology plus all the bells and whistle of a traditional webinar company.

The ticket can be assign, re-assigned, you can see the status, if it’s been resolved or not, you can escalate it and another cool feature is that it tracks everything making it pretty easy to view and analyze reports.

When the ticket has been answered, the helpdesk ticketing system will automatically send an e-mail to the client to let them know the issue has been looked after that they can log in to the helpdesk ticketing system to view the results. Say the client didn’t get any e-mails after a couple days (it may be filtered out) but the client can still go see the status of their tickets by logging into the help desk software.

There are many different support ticket systems that exist but from my experience the two most popular helpdesk ticketing system that I know of are Zendesk.com and OSTicket.com.

Zendesk is very popular amongst a lot of internet marketers and software developers. Basically it’s what the pros use. They’ve got affordable solutions for businesses but if you’re just starting out then I’d consider another option.

My personal recommendation would be to go with the open source ticket system OSTicket.com as it’s an open source platform and you get “more bang for the buck”.

They have a free version and a paid version of the OSTicket open source platform called “Support System”.  The free version you’d have to maintain everything, figure out everything, how it works, etc.

Side Note! A free helpdesk ticketing system is great but keep in mind that it’s not 100% free, you have to host it on your own servers which you have to pay for. They also don’t come with the same level of support and there’s a lot of trial and error to set it up.

Best Cloud Storage To Back Up Your Computer

Best Cloud StorageFinding the best cloud storage can be challenging but first, let’s look at why it’s important we even consider putting our backup on the best cloud storage. Having a backup for our computer is now critical to protect our digital goods. Think of a backup as an insurance policy to protect your priceless valued moments.

Another free solution I found was fbackup.com, which enables it’s users to use their own hosting accounts. The cons are that you are either limited by the amount of hosting space you got and you have to pay your own hosting fees which depending on how much space you have can be quite a lot.

You also have to be more tech savvy to use this method. These free open source tools have lots of great potential but simply not as user friendly as one would hope.

That wasn’t enough, I was determined to find the best cloud storage to do my backups online but the ones I found in the past were very limited space and like $30 per month, hence why I was looking for the other solutions to back it up on my hosting servers.

So I kept sporadically backing up my hard drive manually for a while until my friend told me about his best cloud storage solution, the best cloud storage available in the market place according to his paying voting dollars is backblaze.com. Which in my opinion is a pretty darn good deal considering that you can backup all your unlimited personal memories with set and forget technology. Now I also use that platform. Behind The Scenes

Behind the scenes of a work from home day is kind of difficult for me to explain what a work day looks like when I work at home. Seems like I just stay home and do nothing all day but au contraire, a work day has many steps and I have to complete all of them. Today I will take you behind the curtains and show you what really goes on behind the scenes.

You’ll see my daily routine and how I structure and manage my time efficiently. After all to get results, this type of work is pro-active and performance based.

Ok so let’s get into it.

It all starts with the set up. I move my furniture around to align the camera and teleprompter for the best shot possible (sometimes I move that later on, like when it’s time to shoot).

Next, I open my blog and log into the back office of my website, once I’m in, I click add a new post to get started.

From there, I open my keyword research tool (Market Samurai) and I do my keyword, check out, what’s the competition, what people are looking for online, I assess my competition and I look what it’s all about, if there’s a keyword I’m not sure about, I just go check it out and see what it’s all about and from there I assess what my competition is so I can make an informed decision on which keyword to target.

After that’s done, I open up some Private Label Rights articles that I have and do research on the internet to get my mind creative and get brainstorming ideas. I read some stuff and what I like I talk about it in my article and just start to write.

I like to get ideas and point to Wikipedia as it’s known as an authority site online therefore when I point to it from my blog post, I’m perceived as a publisher who gives a great user experience to my readers therefore am rewarded in search rankings.

Sometimes you get writer’s blog but that’s ok, that’s normal, you can take a little break, come back or just plow through that. Once your article is done, you want to make sure your keyword is in your meta tags, so title, description, keywords, images etc that’s really important for SEO. When you get your images, make sure you use images that are a part of the public domain, or make sure that the copyrights allow you to have them on your site. Once you have your image, rename it with your keyword.

When I talk about different tools or products, I like to find various resources available on the internet. From there I look if they have an affiliate program available. This means that if someone coming from my website buys something from them, then I’d get a percentage commission on it. That’s one way of many ways to monetize your blog.

My rule of thumb is that if I’m talking about one service or product, I like to offer my readers the choice of various opportunities and not “pressure” them into one. By giving 2 or 3 choices, then the reader makes their own decisions.

I keep track of all my work in an Excel document. In there I right the names of my saved articles, if I recommend products, the link of my blog site, Youtube URL and many other things related to that piece of content.

Coming back to my article writing, it’s good to take a look on the actual website, that way you get an idea of the look and feel to see if you’re going in the right direction.

Once I’m happy with my article and it’s published on my blog, now it’s time to make the video. I copy my article into Word, save it on my memory stick and put it into my other laptop with the teleprompter software, set-up the camera and teleprompter then I’m ready to go.

I change into more presentable clothes (shirt and tie usually) for a good first impression. Turn on the lights, then action. I get started. What I like about having the teleprompter is that it keeps me sharp, I don’t fluff talk, I don’t side track, I’m very precise, stay on target and I actually really, really enjoy it that way.

Behind The Scenes After Filming

After I’m done recording (which is the fastest part, big chunk of the day goes into writing and preparation), I take everything from the camera and upload it into the computer so I can start editing in my video editing software. I personally use Sony Vegas but there are many other good ones out there.

The first thing to do when editing your video is to cut all the scrap out. So bloopers, tongue twisters, distraction noise, telephone interruptions, etc. All that’s got to go! So you keep it nice and clean and precise.

Side Note! The reason I like to add videos to my blog is to get that personal feel. People get to connect with you a little bit more I find. If you just write an article, it can be seen as a little impersonal whereas with videos, people can relate to you.

Coming back to the video, when I talk about specific companies or sites, I like to take screen shots and insert them in the video. So when I talk about it, my viewers can get a visual reference. It also gives it a clean professional look. It kinds of separates you from the rest, you’re going the extra mile.

When I do the final play, I double check for any mistakes, quite often you’ll pick up on a few things so you just go in and re-adjust. Once everything is to your liking then it’s time to render. It takes a little bit of time for that however you don’t have to be there the whole time it renders, you can do something else.

Next you want to do your “poster” or your Youtube thumbnail while you’re uploading your video on Youtube. Update the thumbnail image with yours, copy and paste your article in the Youtube description, put in the tags (same as your keywords), add it to your playlist (optional), then click publish.

When I’m done that, I take the Youtube URL, then embed it into my blog post, take note of it in my master Excel worksheet and voilà! A brand new article with great content has been posted.

That’s what I do every day, that’s my process.

In conclusion, my day is broken down into 6 sections, brainstorming, writing, publishing, recording, editing and uploading. A typical work day is about 6 hours of productive work (if you don’t count any breaks or education) but sometimes can go up 8 or 9 hours depending what I’m doing.

In my case I chose to do one video and blog post per day from Monday to Friday but if you want to do it part time, nothings stops you from doing like 2 or 3 per week. The idea here is to have a schedule and be consistent.

There are no more excuses not to find the answers to our problems.  We live in an era full of knowledge available at our finger tips and we have access to the greatest resources available in the world.  The power of our neurological pathways in our brain combined with today’s to quality search engines and video sites such as: Google, Bing, Wikipedia, Youtube, Vimeo, etc. becomes a lethal power weapon for us to do research and find out our solutions.

As individuals we don’t know everything, that’s impossible, but all the world together exchanging ideas, solutions, tutorials, overall knowledge, together we know an unlimited amount of information that people 100 years ago could only dreamed of.  There’s simply absolutely no way we can’t know of something today if we put the proper effort in our research.

As a manager, in one of my previous careers, I’ve had first hand opportunity to deal with employees who’d ask lots of questions or said statements, which I thought were pretty self explanatory.   It became apparent to me that the questions asked were intended to immediately look for the answer without even learning the process of how to get to the answer.  Which made me realize that maybe they’ve never been properly taught an effective cognitive thought process.

I used to hear dead end statements like: “I can’t do that.” The first observation I made was that sometimes people make a statement instead of asking a question and when that’s the case, you can’t go any further, it stops right then and there.  If you can’t ask proper questions, how are you supposed to be able to find the answer?  Clearly this should have been asked as follows: “How can I do that?”  The next step in the art of problem solving method would be to clarify what the “that” means, example: “How can I do effective marketing for my work from home business?”

The Art Of Problem Solving Through Clarity

From here, you need more clarity, it’s good practise at the beginning to write it down on a piece of paper and try to figure out 20 solutions to the problem.  Over time, your mind will become better at automatically figuring out alternatives and finding solutions.  Another tip would be to clarify the question even more by asking something along those lines: “What marketing methods exist for a home business?”  By expanding and clarifying the scope of your question to solve your problem, it then becomes easier to look it up in search engines and from there generate other ideas.

Side Note! For every problem you got, use the art of problem solving to find a solution. Try to come up with 20 different solutions on how you can solve your problem.

At the end of the day, we are all fully responsible for our own lives, our own success, our own happiness and our own decision making.

Mastering the art of problem solving for your business will not only help you in your working capacity but will also help you in figuring out all kinds of other solutions in various parts of your life.

How much is traditional education to get a college diploma or university degree?  From my understanding my friend paid $5,000 per semester to attend university.  My friend did 4 years at 2 semesters per year, which gives $40,000 to get their bachelors degree (that’s not including books, parking or other related expenses).  Now with all that education my friend can enter the work force and start working into their respective career of choice if their lucky and there’s an opportunity.

Now, let’s look at us home base business owners.  A lot of us invested in an opportunity, so we have access to a wealth vehicle, it could be direct selling, network marketing, mlm, online store, etc.  That’s great; we have access to a service or product to sell.  Where the lack exists in small home base business’ mentality is the knowledge and education to grow your business in marketing and promotion.  Think about it, have you graduated in marketing or in advertising in school?

Business owners are very conservative or scared in investing in their own knowledge to market and promote their services or products using today’s platforms.  Such advertising platforms are: Google AdWords’ Pay Per Click, Microsoft AdCenters’ Pay Per Click, Youtube Video Marketing, Facebook Marketing, Twitter Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, etc.
